One of the first places we visited on Amami was Kyoraumi Koubow some five years ago and I must say that all the food and drinks are consistently good and freshly made.
You can choose to eat outside like most places along Yoan beach ether way it's totally relaxing and enjoyable. Please try the local sugar cane drink which is made out back of the restaurant where they have a small workshop making their sugar cane products.
I chose this place because of the great ice fruit drinks / shaved Ice that is absolutely excellent 'especially on a HOT day.'
